Cat says: Now is the time for stillness. Gentle my fur and I will sing for you. And my song will soothe your heart to quietness.
Introduction by the band's manager and mentor, the "Mogfather".
It's not easy managing a feline rock band and Letterbox are no exception. The band's hectic lifestyle of eating, sleeping, practicing, eating, sleeping, performing, eating, sleeping, recording and eating, sleeping and doing interviews with the feline music press demands that I'm on the go all the time, it's a 24/7 job that doesn't leave much time for me to eat and sleep!. I'll turn this interview over to the band and let them tell you for themselves what it's like to be internationally famous feline rock mega-stars.
'Slow Paw' Alfie, the day of the axecat cometh.
Interviewer: "Thanks for taking the time to speak to us Alfie, can you tell our readers how you got the nickname 'Slow Paw'?"
Alfie: "Well it's really quite simple man, it's because I play the guitar slowly with my paws"
Interviewer: "How long have you been playing?"
Alfie: "I've been playing all my life since I was a small kitten, I like catnip mice, ping pong balls, dangly toys all that sort of stuff"
Interviewer: "No, I think there's been a misunderstanding, what I meant was, how long have you been playing the guitar?"
Alfie: "Oh that, not that long really I just kinda picked it up"

Interviewer: "What really happened to the hamster? "
Alfie: "I don't know, as I've said before it's just another one of our manager's headline grabbing stories, I never touched the hamster! "
Interviewer: "How did the band get its name?"
Alfie: "We wanted to call it Litterbox but, believe it or not, there's already a trail-blazing feline heavy rock band of that name so we settled on Letterbox as a sort of homage to them. "
Interviewer: "Is there a message behind your music? "
Alfie: "Yes, very much so, we'd like folks to see how FIV cats like Frankie and myself and older cats like Suzie "Rock" both literally and figuratively."
'Fat Boy' Frankie, a heavyweight name in feline rock.
Interviewer: "Hi Frankie, I suppose you got the nickname 'Fat Boy' because of your rotund physique?"
Frankie: "My what?!, is he being funny Alf?"
Alfie: "It's a polite was of saying it's 'cos you're fat Frankie"
Frankie: "Oh no not that again!, how many times must I say it?, I'm not fat!, I'm big-boned!"
Interviewer: "So you got you nick name because you are big-boned "
Frankie: "Yeah that's right, he catches on quickly doesn't he Alf?"
Interviewer: "Why did you choose to play the bass guitar Frankie? "
Frankie: "Well I suppose it was dictated to me really by circumstances as Alfie plays lead and Suzie plays the drums but I think it really suits my laid-back personality, I'm strictly rhythm, I don't want to make my guitar cry or sing, I leave that kinda stuff to Alfie. It also fits in squarely with my philosophy of never expending more energy than is strictly neccessary. "

Interviewer: "Tell us about the new album, what's the story behind the title Tabby Road?, were you inspired by the Beetles? "
Frankie: "It came from our manager, the first record he remembers hearing on the radio was Hard Day's Night by the Beetles and Suzie thought it a cool idea. She would really being a tabby and all that "
'Sultry' Suzie, First lady of feline rock.
Interviewer: "Hi Suzie, do you enjoy playing to feline audiences?"
Suzie: "I love it, gives me a real kick to see those cats digging our music, our fans are the best"
Interviewer: "How did you first become interested in playing the drums?"
Suzie: "I picked it up from our manager who used to play drums in his youth but of course I'm much better than he ever was"
Interviewer: "As a senior catizen of feline rock how long do you think you'll keep playing?"
Suzie: "I'll keep on rockin' 'em as long as I live, I'm in great shape, this feline ageism thing is a load of rubbish. I'm older, prettier and I can eat more tuna than Charlie Watts and I can purr better "
Interviewer: "To what do you most owe your success as a feline drummer? "
Suzie: "In a word 'Tuna' oh and plenty of beauty sleep, a girl can't get too much tuna and beauty sleep!."
Interviewer: "What was the most thrilling thing to happen to you and the band so far?"
Suzie: "I suppose it was the way that we have been so warmly received in the feline music press and the success of our ongoing charity T-shirt sales to benefit FIV and elderly cats".

Interviewer: "One final question guys, where do you see the future taking you?".
Alfie: "Anywhere we like, we can do pretty much anything we like, there's a lot more that we'd like to explore in our music."
Interviewer: "Thanks guys, keep on rockin' ".
Frankie: "Oh, we most certainly will, by the way, I don't suppose you've got any biscuits on you have you?".
